The article discusses how a group of five students were selected to compete in the Grand Challenges for Engineers competition. The article goes on to talk about the process the team took into deciding how to tackle their challenge. They decided to take on the challenge regarding sustainability, using a zeolite crystal in order to improve the agricultural industry. I used this article because I found it intriguing that a group of college students just like me are taking huge steps to improve the world around us in such a creative and astounding way.

My favorite demo was the one concerning Delay Differential Equations. I tremendously appreciated the simplicity of the subject. The commands that allow Matlab to create the delay differential equations are remarkably simple and easy to follow. This tutorial also discussed delay differential equation (DDE) discontinuities, as well as the different types of DDEs.

Matlab Demo
