My favourite MATLAB demonstration is the World Traveller 3-D globe, which computes flight paths between multiple cities.  I find it fascinating that such a detailed model can be created by MATLAB, as well as the fact that it can include a graphical user interface and account for multiple inputs seamlessly.  In addition, the GUI is highly professional, which I am impressed with.  Having worked with object oriented programs previously, the fact that MATLAB is coded using a simple text editor, yet can produce models such as this is amazing.  Plus, it was pretty cool to see how far Anchorage was from Sydney.

Introduction

Hi! My name is Ajeet Hansra, and I'm a freshman from Sydney, Australia. I am currently planning on studying Mechanical Engineering, however I am considering Computer Science as an alternative. I play cricket, football, basketball, rugby and I love trekking.

How to pronounce my name

My name is pronounced a-Jt (rhymes with Jeep) Han (like Han Solo from Star Wars) sra (sr-AH) (Capitals indicate stress)

Favourite MATLAB Demonstration

My favourite MATLAB demonstration is the World Traveller 3-D globe, which computes flight paths between multiple cities. I find it fascinating that such a detailed model can be created by MATLAB, as well as the fact that it can include a graphical user interface and account for multiple inputs seamlessly. In addition, the GUI is highly professional, which I am impressed with. Having worked with object oriented programs previously, the fact that MATLAB is coded using a simple text editor, yet can produce models such as this is amazing. Plus, it was pretty cool to see how far Anchorage was from Sydney.
