I enjoyed playing with the World Traveler demo. It was a very simple application: you just chose from a list of cities which one you wanted to depart from and land to. However, what I didn't really like about this demo was the fact that the globe looks very poorly animated. Also, I would like to travel from cities from both hemispheres. Other than that, kudos!

About Me

I am a Duke student in the class of 2015. I am majoring in Electrical & Computer Engineering.

I recently graduated from John B. Connally High, home of jigg-festivities, a really painful AP Physics C class, and RNS.

Name Pronunciation

Benson Tran is pronounced Bin-son. TRuh(the start of the sound in trash and truck) AN.

At home, I'm called Di-Di (pronounced DEE DEE). It's Teochew/Mandarin for younger brother (I have an older sister).

My friends also call me Di-Di for laughs and giggles.

I also have a Chinese name, but that's obviously not worth mentioning; it's extremely irrelevant.

For a much simpler way of explaining my name:

Benson Wally Tran as in:

1) The Son of Ben

2) The Pixar movie, WALL-E

3) Tran

Grand Challenges for Engineering

The Grand Challenges article that I found interesting was the Reverse Engineering the Brain [1], Sally Adee, Written June 2008, Accessed 14 January 2009.

Matlab Demo

I enjoyed playing with the World Traveler demo. It was a very simple application: you just chose from a list of cities which one you wanted to depart from and land to. However, what I didn't really like about this demo was the fact that the globe looks very poorly animated. Also, I would like to travel from cities from both hemispheres. Other than that, kudos!
