Matlab Demonstrations
My favorite demonstration and one of the best examples for applications of Matlab in real world is "Loma Prieta Earthquake" demonstration. The main reason is that this demonstration of Matlab is a great example of how even a daily event like earthquakes, which happen many times in a single day in our dynamic Earth, can be shown in a 3d model of location using data of the earthquake. Matlab can create models using data and help us explore.
