My name is Jorge. The "J" and "G" in my name would be pronounced like an "H" in English, but I really don't mind it being pronounced like "George". I am from Miami but my parents are Cuban. They moved to the United States in 1993.

Of all the MATLAB demonstrations, Conway's Game of Life is definitely my favorite. It basically runs on its own after the player presses "Start" and creates cells that live or die based on their proximity to other cells. I find it very interesting because after the user starts the game, it runs on its own and determines its own outcome. I find the process of creating simple games such as these using MATLAB very interesting.

Background Information

My name is Jorge. The "J" and "G" in my name would be pronounced like an "H" in English, but I really don't mind it being pronounced like "George". I am from Miami but my parents are Cuban. They moved to the United States in 1993. I speak Spanish at home with my parents, grandparents, and all other adults in my family, so if you ever need help with Spanish just come find me at Epworth!

Future Plans

I am currently in Pratt, but I am not sure which kind of engineering I would like to major in. I have many academic interests including economics and math, but hopefully I can figure out soon what my major will be.

My Favorite MATLAB Demonstration

Of all the MATLAB demonstrations, Conway's Game of Life is definitely my favorite. It basically runs on its own after the player presses "Start" and creates cells that live or die based on their proximity to other cells. I find it very interesting because after the user starts the game, it runs on its own and determines its own outcome. I find the process of creating simple games such as these using MATLAB very interesting.
