This is just a brief introduction to myself. I'm an international student from Kenya but I've spent the last two years studying in South Africa at the African Leadership Academy, ALA. I'm an all rounder and have been involved in a healthy mix of sports, clubs and community service during my time in high school. The highlight of my high school experience though was starting my own company, ALA Green Dorm, whose aim is to provide sustainable living solutions for the African Leadership Academy. By the time I graduated, I had brought together a team of dedicated underclassmen to run the outfit and we had already conducted an energy audit on our school and presented a cross-section of our results to the school administration. Green Dorm is now working for ALA to cut its energy costs based on the recommendations it made from the energy audit.
