This is a really awesome article on reverse engineering the brain of a fruit fly. The amount of memory space it takes to store all the processed images taken of the brain of a fruit fly is unimaginable and is in the petabytes(1 petabyte = 1000 terabytes). Ultimately, the idea is to be able to reverse engineer the human brain which is a daunting task but researchers and scientists are slowly making progress in this field.
