Family Travel

  • My favorite place to travel is "The Cove," a family property on Eberhart Cove in the Pacific Northwest. My family takes an annual vacation to our summer home on the Puget Sound. There, we spend time together as a family, enjoy the cool summer weather, harvest fresh blueberries and blackberries, and fish/cruise in our boat.

Favorite MATLAB Demonstration

  • The Graphics "Viewing a Penny" demonstration was easily my favorite. The ability for a program to plot 3-Dimensional data representing a physical object is hard not to be amazed by. The detail on the penny's surface represented by a contour plot is awesome. I was exposed to new ideas such as using a pseudocolor that varies depending on its relative height determined by the Laplacian command. I thought that this sequence of commands was genius and the product was clean.
