About Me
My name is Rekha Korlipara, and I am from Long Island, New York. I am a student in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. As of now, I am hoping to major in biomedical engineering, and I am a pre-medical student.
Name Pronunciation
My name is pronounced "RAY-kah CORE-lih-pa-ra." There is not much of an emphasis on any of the syllables in either name, but "RAY" and "CORE" are the most important sounds in each name, respectively. When we were younger, my sister called me "Rekha-bunch-of-leaves" (this has helped a lot of people remember how to pronounce my first name). In my last name, the "lih" sound is similar to the beginning of "LIthium." "-para" sounds like "PARrot."
Current Courses
During the Fall 2013 semester, I am taking four classes:
- EGR 103: Computational Methods in Engineering
- Chemistry 110DL: Honors Chemistry: Core Concepts in Context
- Math 122L: One Variable Calculus
- Writing 101: The Greatest Living American Writer
