My name is Amy Vitha and I am from Long Island, New York. I went to Hewlett High School, and have been dreaming of going to Duke since Freshman year. I look forward to exploring all that Duke has to offer in the next four years. I think I am interested in pursuing Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering at Duke, though I'm not entirely sure. I am enrolled in EGR90, so hopefully by the end of the semester I will have it figured out. Outside of the classroom I am a member of DukePaws, and I plan to join Club Tennis and DSG, and write for the DukEngineer magazine.

In high school I was a member of the Volleyball, Basketball and softball teams. I also participated in student government as well as the math team and the World Language Club.
