About Me

My name is Bennett Haskin and I am from Conway, South Carolina. I am a member of the Class of 2015 of the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. I plan on pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering as well as being a pre-med student, so hopefully I can survive.

Name Pronunciation

My name is Bennett Haskin, which was intended to be pronounced like "BIN-it HA(as in hat, without the t)-skin." My name is more commonly seen as a last name or a male's first name but, alas, it is my first name and I am a female.

My Favorite MATLAB Demo

While the Mathematics demos will probably prove the most useful later on, my favorite demo is the Traveling Salesman demo. Not only do all the quick moving lines amuse me but the purpose, determining the shortest route for a trip with multiple destinations, seems very practical. Particularly because I travel a lot with my family and have seen my mother perform the same basic task without the ease of MATLAB to do it for her.
