- Root locus sketch including real axis portions, center of asymptote, asymptotes, imaginary axis crossing, break-in/out (for relatively simple KGH=-1)

- Design for one criterion using gain control (Ts, Tp, %OS, ess)
- Design PI or lag control to correct ess
- Design PD or lead control to correct transients
- Design PID or lag-lead (+ op-amp) to...do both
