Grand Challenges for Engineering

NNSA: Working To Prevent Nuclear Terrorism, National Nuclear Security Administration, updated 9 September 2009, accessed 14 September 2013

Favorite Demonstration

I enjoyed the “Basic Matrix Operations” demonstration the most. This is almost exactly what we went over during lecture, but it was good to use as a reference. It also brought up some commands that we had not learned in lecture and some terms I had never heard of before like eigenvalues. The command for an eigenvalue is: eig(A). It also went over how to convolve two vectors using the command: conv(p,p) where p and p are your two vectors.
