Get to know me!

My name is Alexandra Rivera and I am from Westchester, New York.

Education

I am a current student in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. As of now, my intended major is Environmental Engineering, with a certificate in Architectural Engineering. I also am thinking of minoring in Italian.

Hobbies

• I absolutely love to travel. Some of my favorite places I have been to include San Sebastian (Spain), Lisbon (Portugal), and Edinburgh (Scotland). I definitely want to participate in study abroad at Duke.
• Sports I play include tennis, lacrosse, and skiing. I played tennis and lacrosse throughout high school and I am on the club lacrosse team at Duke.
• I am interested in learning languages. I speak Spanish at home, but over the years I have tried to pick up German (it didn't stick), and Italian (which I want to continue studying at Duke).

Other fun facts

• I have no middle name
• I conducted research in the field of Earth/Ocean sciences for two years in high school. I studied glaciers!
• Some famous people who went to my high school include Jesse McCartney and Mark Zuckerberg
