Hello, Fellow Pratt members,

I'm Chad Guthrie, a freshman Biomedical Engineer.

A Little Bit About Myself

I am planning on majoring in Biomedical Engineering as well as receiving my Pre-Med qualifications on the side. I would love to work in a lab with nanomedicine, as there are multiple professors here at Duke doing research in nanomedicine. Outside of schoolwork, I am in the Triathlon Club and the Duke Splash Club.

A Interesting Article About Carbon Sequestration

How to Say My Name

Ch (as in cheetah) ad (as in advertisement). Gu (rhymes with uhhhhh) thrie (sounds like the number three)

Chad Guthrie (bold indicates emphasized syllable)

My Favorite Demo

I enjoyed the simple demo of the 3-D surface plots. The surface plot that I played with in the demo reminded me of the logo of MATLAB that pops up on the splash screen when MATLAB is opening. Since the math behind the surface plots is miles above my head, I enjoyed being able to manipulate the structure without knowing exactly what kind of math goes into it.
