Hi, my name is Chris Eckersley and I am in the class of 2016. I plan on majoring in BME and possibly ECE. I am part of the Duke Marching band and love to play baseball in my free time.

My favorite demo on the MatLab help site was for The Game of Life. It amazed me how through such a simple algorithm, you are able to make such dynamic and intricate patterns. What was also interesting, is the fact that due to the change of one single cell, another large chain reaction can be set off and there will almost instantly be more than quadruple the few cells that were there to begin with. It is also very intriguing to consider different ways that would cause the pattern to continue infinitely. I look forward to developing different programs like this in the near future.
