About Me
I am a freshman at Duke in the Pratt School of Engineering currently undecided about what I want to major in. I'm from Sherman Oaks, California (in Los Angeles) and my interests include sports and music. I played basketball in high school and am involved in many club and intramural sports at Duke. I also play guitar; my favorite bands include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arctic Monkeys, Pink Floyd, and Zero 7.
Name Pronunciation
My name (Jeremy Schreck) is pronounced how you would think. Jeremy sounds like "JEHR-uh-me" and Schreck is pronounced the same as the movie "Shrek".

Grand Challenges for Engineering Articles
I'm very interested in neuroscience, so this is probably my favorite Grand Challenge.
Reverse Engineering The Brain, Sally Adee, IEEE Spectrum, updated 1 Jun 2008, accessed 12 September 2013 (Reverse-engineer the brain)
Favorite Matlab Demonstration
My favorite Matlab demonstration is the one about 3-D Plots under the Graphics section. I often find it difficult to visualize 3-D graphs based on their equations, so it is amazing and convenient that we can program these plots. It allows us to visualize the graphs completely.
