I am a student at Duke in the Pratt School of Engineering studying biomedical engineering. I am in the Class of 2018.

Before Duke

I grew up in Baltimore, MD on a recreational llama farm. I attended public school my whole life, and I graduated from Loch Raven High School.

Name Pronunciation

My name is Jocelyn. It is pronounced like JAW-seh-lin.

Interests

At Duke, I am involved in club running, DEID, SWE, and FEMMES.

Favorite MATLAB Demo

My favorite demonstration on MATLAB was the 3-D surface plots app. It was a hands-on way to view and experiment with code. I liked that I could choose a desired result in a more user friendly way such as viewing surf versus mesh versus waterfall with different colors, shading, and so on and then see what code created it. It was much more in line with my learning process. (Homework Note: The article from homework one is posted in the discussion section of my page).
