Name Pronunciation

I pronounce my name, "Derek Schocken" to sound like "DARE - ick, SHOCK-in." It's like "shocking" except "shockin'" and spelled with an 'e.'

Favorite MATLAB Demo

I enjoyed the demonstration of "The Game of Life" because of both the interesting visual effect, and the interesting mathematics and principle underlying the game.
