About Me

I am a student at Duke University currently in the College of Arts and Sciences, but pursuing a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Pratt School of Engineering.

Grand Challenges in Engineering

Grand Challenges: Yue Yuan '12 and Felix Hutchinson '12 Build Electrical Models to Mimic the Human Brain, Lafayette College, updated 14 October 2011, accessed 30 January 2012

Name Pronunciation

My name is pronounced the way it is written, "Die-anna Stan". I suppose the correct (Romanian) pronunciation of my name would be "Dee-ahna Stahn" but nobody but my family pronounces my name this way, so I would use the first, more obvious pronunciation.\

Favorite Demonstration

My favorite demonstration was the "Traveling Salesman" from Other Demos. It was interesting because it allowed me to see the process and algorithm that the computer goes through to solve the problem, and showed that not even the computer could solve that type of problem very quickly.
