Favorite Demonstration:

My personal favorite of the MATLAB demonstrations was that of the Loma Prieta Earthquake. This is for several reasons. For one, it demonstrates the true power of MATLAB with its wide variety of plotting techniques. Also, it demonstrates real world uses of the program. While I could have imagined some of applications of the methods, plotting earthquake activity in three dimensional form would not have been something that would come mind. While I don't understand all of the methods yet, this demonstration has helped inspire me to learn.
