About Me
I am a freshman at Duke University hoping to major in mechanical or electrical engineering. I am from Istanbul, Turkey, and have lived there all my life. Outside of engineering, my areas of interest include music, art, fashion, and jewelry making. I hope minor in visual arts or music at Duke. I am in one of Duke's seven a cappella groups called "Something Borrowed Something Blue." I am also a member of the Motorsports Club and the Society of Women Engineers. I hope to work in the energy or spacecraft manufacturing sectors in the future.

My name is pronounced like "def-neh" and means bay tree and laurel tree in Turkish. It is among the most popular Turkish girl names. Most people call me Daphne.
