I am an undergraduate at the Duke University Pratt School of Engineering. I have yet to decide my major. Outside of academics, I am in the Duke Drumline, and am also timpanist of the Duke Symphony Orchestra. During my time at Duke, I hope to get involved in Duke Engineers for International Development and Duke Conservation Tech. My favorite hobbies are playing board games and eating great food.

My favorite MATLAB demonstration is the switching tile puzzle because of how simple, yet entertaining it is. The code for the game is relatively simple, since there is really only one action in the puzzle: switching a tile. However, the puzzle is entertaining and somewhat challenging nonetheless. Thus creating the puzzle is much simpler than solving it. It is an example of something that appears to be complicated in design, but is really quite simple. The simplicity of design of this puzzle is what makes it my favorite MATLAB demonstration.
