About Me

I am a freshman in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. I grew up in Connecticut- born and raised as a true New Englander.

Name Pronunciation

My name is pronounced "KRIS-tee KIM." Formally, the IPA version is /ˈkrɪs ti kɪm/.

Interests

I am interested in art (my favorite artist, at the moment, being Edouard Manet), reading, movies, museums, newspapers, food blogs, Paris, and coffee (or anything caffeinated as a matter of fact). I hope that whatever I end up becoming, there will be lots of traveling involved.

Matlab Demonstrations

My definite favorite was the 3-D Surface Plots Demo. I quite enjoyed how you could manipulate the way in which you viewed the maps and graphs, especially in different axis (completely out-of-the-box). In general, I love seeing the same object from various perspectives, and so this demo really stood out for me.
