The Traveling Salesman Demo
My favorite demo that I viewed was the "Traveling Salesman" demo. I enjoyed this demo because it showed me that creating a code on Matlab to solve a problem can be much more effective and efficient than if the problem was to be calculated by a human. The code also allows one to solve for any amount of inputs. If a new city is added, Matlab could solve the problem in a matter of minutes, or seconds, when human calculations would take a significant amount of time longer to solve the problem again for a new input. The program being run is much different and more advance than anything we have seen in class, which really shows me the extent to which Matlab can be used as a tool once one becomes familiar with porgramming.
